while i agree that this juke feller (didn't know his name, but always watched
roseanne for the harmonica) is a great harper and probably needed the gig
more than JP, I can't help but notice a prevailing bad vibe on this list when
Popper is mentioned. I am certainly not wanting to give the impression that
i hold him up as the end all be all of harmonica, but before i had really
sought out other harmonica players to listen to, he sure was. I think the
man has some serious chops, maybe just a telling sign of my naivete'. I
would like to hear a rationale, just in the interest of harmonica discussion
for this. Maybe i'm misinterpreting, maybe i'm covering ground heavily
footprinted , but I thought i'd ask.

as always, humbly in awe of anyone who can make money from their instrument,
