I agree with this and find it quite insightful. I've NEVER had cause to
use a Db harp, but I certainly gain from what Jon describes here with the
other main keys.

Again, I agree.

Also, if you listen to records and want to try to play along with
them, which is how I learned to play, you'll want a fairly good variety
of harps next to the hi fi. It's true that eventually you'll learn to
cover a variety of keys with the same harp, but as has been pointed out,
it isn't the same as actually having harps in the different keys. I
agree with Rick's post about the main keys he uses, except that I
probably use a G as much as an F, so my picks are A, C, D, F, G, and
eventually Eb and Bb.
