Popper has broken ground as a rock frontman, with great abilitiy on harp.
After listening to a few BT albums I reckon that his talents as a
singer/songwriter are his strengths, his speed licks are not his best asset.
The knock on JP seems to be that he isn't a technique purist and he isn't a
traditionalist. As a longtime fan of guys like guitarist Alvin Lee, and
guitarist/composer Frank Zappa, Neither of these bother me. He has added
another facet to the gem that is harmonica music.
