Subject: Re: free FAQ

A scene in the near future we would NOT like to see.....

zzzzzzz....... zzzzzzz......

Subject: Misadministrivia - new posting policy

After review, we have determined that there is indeed nothing new under
the sun. All questions we've seen in the past couple of years have been
commented on and answered. This has all been condensed into a file known
as FAQ (frequently asked questions). Because of this, it has been
determined that harp-l is no longer necessary, and everyone should just
check the FAQ. If it's not there, you don't need to discuss it.

To insure that no one is left out, a mail robot will be set up to
auto-reply to anyone posting to harp-l with the following:

Whatever question you have posed,
There is a source that surely knows,
So please don't bother writing back;
The sum of all knowledge is in the FAQ.

(Alarm clock)

Yikes - what a nightmare!

Boy, am I glad nothing like this could ever happen..... or could it???

Moral of the story: there's no harm in pointing folks to the FAQ (I think
it's a very good thing myself), but why not also give them the answer they
want, too, even if we've all heard it before?
