I've never been to a jam such as was discussed (i.e. in a bar
or other commercial venue). What are these things like? Is there a
generally accepted pattern? What's polite - what's not. What skill
level is acceptable. I've played at partys with our little garage band
(and a pro drummer just helping us for fun) and nobody seemed to get
visibly ill but I have no idea if I'm close to being able to go to
one of these things.
How do you find out about them? As always - all answers
appreciated.
