The rule of thumb is keyboard players prefer flat keys to sharp keys.
I've known piano players who transpose in their head from the key of D
(2 sharps) to the key of Db (5 flats) this feeling is so strong!

Guitar players are the opposite. So compromises are around the keys of
C, G, D since piano players are clearly superior musicians and more
flexible than guitar players.. JUST KIDDING!! Sheesh. *grin* Guitar
players generally don't like the key of F, or even Bb or Eb. If you
hear horns, look for the key of C or flat keys. If you hear horns,
keyboard, and guitar... try the key of C first, then F..

Like I said, these are generalities; ignore the talents of excellent
musicians; don't hold in all cases, etc etc. But, if you're searching
for the right key harp to use to jam to the music, these rules of thumb
can often help you find the right harp pretty fast.
