A clicking CX-12 slide often occurs when the slide spring is out of adjustment.
Remove the slide and see if the coil spring is running exactly parallel to the
slide. If it is pointing off to one side you can either bend it back straight
or just remove it from the button, rotate it to a better position and then reset
it. When reinserting the slide into the housing make sure that the free end of
the coil spring goes directly onto the little "+" shaped post. Sometimes just
wiggling the slide button, without removing the slide, is enough to properly
reset the coil spring onto the "+" post.
