Are you sure that the inputs are marked for impedance and not tone response?
Fenders often have a "high" input which is like a "bright" channel input.

I assume that you are having feedback problems. The Fender is meant to work
with high impedance guitar pickups, and your low-z mic may be a mismatch.
If you are getting decent volume from your current setup, try cranking the
treble down to 2 and the bass and mid to about 5. Another solution may be
to play through a stomp-box with gain control. I play through an old Pro_Co
Rat distortion box and use the filter and gain controls.
I am a firm believer in empirical testing, so i would do a set of tests at
different tone/volume settings taking notes and recording if need be, and
then switch the mic back and compare results.
I don't know if there is a simple solution to eliminating feedback from a
microphone/guitar amp combo. There have been a few posts recently about
active-EQ/notch type feedback eliminators like the Sabine FBX. But at
200-300 bux you could buy a small PA.
If you have web access, check out the JT-30 page and read the article on
feedback minimization. There is a link to it on my harplinks page at
