Subject: blow bends

I just recently valved my C Lee Oskar harp, and am having some
trouble hitting the blow bends on 1 - 6. It's pretty easy to hit the
straight blows and then bend down, but when I try to hit the bends right
off, I get nothing. It seems there's a point where I'm bending too much,
and no sound comes out at all.

I've tried blowing, bending down, and keeping the embouchre, but I just
keep getting nothing. I hit the bends straight off once in a while, but
maybe just a half step. Anywhere beyond that I just get nothing. Has
anyone had the same problem?
