As a guitarist as well as harmonicist, I'll agree - but only partially.
Part of the "blame" has to go to drummers who use ten pound sticks and
whose idea of dynamics is loudest, and LOUDER THAN LOUDEST. I've
literally had drummers (good ones) who played so loud that I couldn't be
heard. I won't use a drummer who doesn't have brushes.
