Subject: AL FIORE'S GONE!

Just received a call from Al's daughter, Diane, telling me of the passing
of her father at 5pm, Chicago time, today. He died of a stroke, after
having been in the hospital for a very few days, due to a very low blood
platelet count. I had a long conversation with him two nights ago, and
he sounded so happy, and much improved. A shock to us all, he was the
last of the original Harmonicats.

Final arrangements are not complete, but a wake is planned on Monday,
with the funeral on Tuesday.

Our deepest sypmathies are extended to his wife, Mary, and his family and
grandchildren.
