I'm new to the harmonica, just trying to learn playing it. What is the best
way to learn playing it? Is there a book out on the market that can help
teach everything about the harp,at least for beginners? Also,I grew up in
Southwest Louisiana and am Cajun 100%.I love Cajun French music. I have
found some recordings of a couple Cajun harmonica players. It's a very
unique style and i would like to learn it. Both players are deceased and the
record companies that recorded them haven't been much help to me in finding
out about the style and the players. My grandmother used to play harp but
she's gone now, too. i think the playing style was a style played at home, not
recorded much or played in public. Can anyone point me in the right
direction in finding out more about the style or Isom J.Fontenot(the player)
I would appreciate it.
