Subject: Using software to learn

In an earlier posting I talked about using some software I have to edit the
"silence" from the Harp-l sound clips. It is called "Audiorack" and came
with my sound card. I have also found that it is a great learning tool for
harp. I can use the software to record a clip or solo from a CD as a .wav
file, and then play it back. I can select a small section of the file and
play only that section, endlessly repeat it, and/or slow it down to 1/2
speed. By doing this I have been able to pin down how some licks are being
played that I have been trying to learn, and finally get them. Of course
slowing the sound by 1/2 changes the pitch by one octave, but it is still in
the same key. If it only had pitch control it would be perfect. Does anyone
else have experience with similar software?
