Michael, based on your own definition, this is incorrect in terms of cross
harp. If the tune is in the key of C, to use your example, the cross harp
key would be F, not G. In my own personal definition of a "fifth", F is
the fifth note above C. In this case, one would go up 5 notes (a "fifth")
to get the cross harp key. One would have to go down 7 notes (a "seventh")
to get to the cross harp key going the other direction.

Either gets you to the same place.

Agreed on all points. My concern is that we standardize our terms so that
we don't go through this discussion every few months, thoroughly confusing
the new players in the process. :-)
