Hi
I have just taken up the harmonica. I am really enjoying it. Our instructor gave us a handout with the information about SPAH. I checked out your web site too. It was very interesting. I am emailing you for 2 reasons: 1. Please send a free sample newsletter as per you web offer.
2. I have a problem: I am allergic to my harmonica. Actually it is an allergy to the metal plates. I am allergic to nickel. My lips have broken out in a nickel rash. I own 2 hamonicas. Admittingly these are the cheaper ones. One is a Marine Band by Honer that was sold at the class I took. I enjoyed the class so much that I would like to invest in a chromatic. Now I am afraid that I will be allergic to it too. Does Honer make harmonicas that do not have nickel in the plates? Are these affordable? I have tried to coat the plates with clear nail polish to see if that help. UNfortunately I have to wait for my lips to heal before I can try it out. It is killing me not to play my harmonica. I REALY enjoy playing harmonica. The fact that I may not be able to continue is really bothering me. Please, if you have any suggestions or advice, I would appreciate it.
I am looking forwards to getting the newsletter and a reply to this email. Thankyou for all your time.
