Yeah, that's very similar to my experience. Basically, the reeds wind up
with no gap on one side and a huge gap on the other. It is possible to set
the reeds sort of diagonally in the slot and reshape the edges so the reed
swings cleanly, but it's a lot of hassle and it makes that hole on the harp
rather leaky. Best just to stick another reed in. Perhaps if you replace
them using screws, it might give you a bit more leeway to fix this problem,
but I don't know.
