Subject: Blind Owl Wilson's Vibrato

How did Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson achieve such a perfectly timed vibrato? By
perfectly timed, I mean it was often exactly in sync with the beat of the
music. I've heard different theories from different people. One person I
know insists it was electronically achieved with the tremolo on his amp!
Another player I know thinks it was a "throat" vibrato, but personally I
think it came from his diaphragm. What do you all think?
