Subject: Cheap chromatic tuner alert

and of course by cheap, I mean Inexpensive. I have been using a
QuikTune chromatic tuner for about a month and I can give it a
rousing "thumbs up". No offense to the Aussies in the crowd.

It is very small, 4"x2.5"x0.75", has a built in mic; 1/4 inch input
and passthrough output; a digital needle; sharp, flat and in-tune
led's; is adjustable for A436 to A445 reference; and offers automatic
and manual tuning. In auto it finds the note being played, then
shows the relative state of tune. The auto mode is fast and
positive. In manual, you set the target note and it shows the
relative state of tune. This is useful for retuning a reed.

I see these for $30 or so all year long, I got mine for $29.95. A
nice tuner at half the price of a Sabine and it has proven to be a
valuable addition to my repair bag.
