There seems to be general agreement that Marine Bands vary quite a bit in quality.. I've found ones I love, but more that I hate and won't even play.
So I'm thinking... what if Hohner could recognize the "good" ones... where the tolerances are closer, or the gaps better, or the tuning more precise... whatever makes the sweet ones sweet... They could start a line of "Hohner Select" Marine Bands that consist of these better harps. I'd be quite willing to pay more for MBs if I knew I'd like what I was buying! Hohner could charge, what, 25% to 50% more, with very little extra production cost on their end. They'd be happy, we'd be happy.. Everyone wins!
An administrative question... if I use the web page can I safely unsubscribe from Harp-L?
