Wow!! Here is a great example of preferring the "sharp" keys
to the flat. For jazz, I, and others, have had a real love
affair with using the flat keys, which offer a whole different
set of slide usage then the sharp keys. I have always been aware
that some players prefer the use of the sharp keys (taking a look
at the major thirds of each key on the chro gives you an
understanding), but have never met someone who likes them. The
"science" of playing the sharps is a strange one and I would
rather use a C# instrument to "flatten" the keys for my needs. I
always maintained that this was a result of training. Did you
play alot in the "sharp" or "guitar" keys when learning? I
always ended up in flat keys which are commomn to jazz.
