In Paris, at the turn of the century, an artist called Le Petomaine recorded 'Claire de Lune' by Debussy using his very personal choice of instrument. In the first year he made more from that recording than Debussy made from er... more conventional arrangements of the tune.
He even played it before the crowned heads of Europe.
