I agree, I don't think the diatonic community has these issues licked, but as Dave mentioned in his post about trumpet etc- those instruments have had some similar "issues" that have been worked on by generations of players, and many of those issues have been largely resolved over that long period of time . . .
We are only a few decades into some of these issues(some issues-less than that), and I've got to believe that future generations of diatonic players will have built upon the traditions that are being established as we speak. >>
All true. We're all trying to redefine what's possible, and I hope and trust that will never stop. I just want us all to be clear about what the real state of the art is at any given point in time.
