That's right. It was written by Paul Desmond who played alto sax with the
Dave Brubeck Quartet.

I play it on a in the original key of Eb on a C# harp (3rd Pos.) because I
can play the whole thing including the bridge in that position WITHOUT
having to use overblows.

You can find it on my CD: Madcat & Kane, Key to the Highway, on the
Schoolkids' Records label.
