Dick, I'm not familiar with that particular model, but I would wager
that it could be a gem of a harp amp, especially for $100. The older
Guild tube amps were similar in quality to the Silvertones, not as well
made as a Fender, but a decent amp. You really can't beat a 2x10
speaker set up for harp, especially if there are old Jensen Alnicos in
there. A "bright" input usually has a capacitor across the volume pot
that allows more highs to pass through the circuit when the volume pot
is turned down. When the volume is turned up all the way, the bright
has no effect on the sound, at least thats how it works on Fender amps.
When you check out the amp try to find out what type of tubes are in
there, wattage, etc., and let us know what you find out. If you do buy
it, it would be a good idea to have an amp tech knowledgeable in old
tube amps give it a once over and repair any problems he may find in it,
such as noisy pots, capacitors, bad tubes, install a grounded plug.
After you check it out let us know what you think. Good luck.
