I enjoy harmonica, and always have a good time jamming with other players,
regardless of ability. It's my job as "the band" to make them sound as
good as possible, and I pride myself in being good at this.

Sure I've had a few beginners, but this only means it's more of a
challenge for me to make them sound good.

A lot of times, I give a little "on the job training", such as explaining
how to properly cup, etc.

With the more advanced players, frequently I'll suggest that they try a
different position, and explain basically how to do it, e.g. "5th position
is very much like cross harp except you need to center on 2B and 5B more",
or "4th position is very much like 1st position except you need to center
on 3Dbb, 6D, and 10D more, and more of the higher notes like Jimmy Reed",
etc.

I've turned a LOT of cats on to 4th and 5th positions like this.
