Corky Siegel is a great harp player and was with the Siegel-Schwall Band out of Chicago in the 70's. They recorded a number of albums which feature Siegel on harp and keyboards. The band had a light, fun sound and many songs were molded in the Jimmy Reed style. They produced quality tunes with good dynamics and a sense of humor. They were a midwestern favorite at music festivals in the mid '70's . He then went solo and produced several albums. Corky's style is very clean sounding (not Chicago distorted blues) and he uses lots of dynamics.
Finally, he got into "Chamber Music" which is a mixture of classical/blues oriented stuff. He probably will be playing the Chamber Music when he plays in your city (which he does these days, I understand). Once in a while the S-S band does a reunion show (like at the Chicago Blues Festival). I think, too, there is a web page for him ??? which you can access to get more info.
One of my all time favorites. Own every album they (he) made.
