Subject: Re: Chord Mic

Oh yea...That is another way to mic the chord, however with the microphone
stuck on the throat, it kills all of the overtones. The mic element is
held against the thoat with a neck band/brace. Years ago, I built one of
these types and even used it for performances. This mic made the chord
sound like a bass-chord.

Ken, I don't know that 'most' chord players use the throat mic, but I do
know that some use it. It is low priced, and allows the chord player to
move around (like with a chest mic). The throat mic can be built for under
$50, or bought for under $100, where as a chest mic is now appraised at
$700.00.
