Subject: RE: lick books

I know that technique is probably more important than just doing a lot of
mediocre licks. However, it can get pretty monotonous and discouraging just
to practice technique. If my friends want me to play something, its no fun
just playing bend exercises and octave tongue blocks.
I have the Sonny Terry Lick Book by Tom Ball which I enjoy a lot. I was
wondering if there are any other materials that are similar. Does Tom plan
to
do any additional books like this, analyzing other individuals' techniques.

I read in Kevin's harp catalog there is a book called Progressive blues
harmonica licks. Is that any good.
It would just be fun to have a number of different licks that I can mix
around, just to enjoy playing.
