I'm working from memory here, as I can't find any references in my files,
but I think Hohner made an electronic melodica-type instrument in the 60s,
called something like the electronica.

Also, I believe Chamber Huang has been known to play melodica and, in a
blues vein, so has Paul "Brooklyn Slim" Oscher.
