Ok...I know this will probably be considered "overkill" by most. I hooked up a BBE 461 Sonic Maximizer~~>(last thing in line before the amp), as I sometimes experiment with various rack units. The difference was (to say the least) amazing... The maximizer takes the signal that your harmonica produces, and makes them "sparkle" (the best term I can think of) with clarity & definition. Additionally, there's a "low contour" which will allows for bass boost/attenuation. With a JT30,this unit made both my Champ and Skylark amps sound huge. The Maximizer isn't a unit which sterilizes your tone and sound...it just significantly enhances the tone and sound you already have. So--if you're using rack FX already,I highly recommend trying one... I think you will like it. Later Ya'll Big John
