Subject: BBE Sonic Maximizer...

Ok...I know this will probably be considered "overkill" by most. I hooked up
a BBE 461 Sonic Maximizer~~>(last thing in line before the amp), as I
sometimes experiment with various rack units. The difference was (to say the
least) amazing... The maximizer takes the signal that your harmonica
produces, and makes them "sparkle" (the best term I can think of) with clarity
& definition. Additionally, there's a "low contour" which will allows for bass
boost/attenuation. With a JT30,this unit made both my Champ and Skylark amps
sound huge. The Maximizer isn't a unit which sterilizes your tone and
sound...it just significantly enhances the tone and sound you already have.
So--if you're using rack FX already,I highly recommend trying one... I think
you will like it.
