Something I didn't mention in my previous post about Poleskystock was how blown away I was by Dave McKelvey (sp.?), who plays with Danny. He plays a chromatic like a diatonic, in that he gets that wail that one supposedly can't get on a chrom, with brilliant musical ideas and super-genuine swing, and then he turns around and plays the diatonic like a chrom, with extremely original melodic ideas that don't sound forced in any way.
He's also among the least impressed-with-himself great musicians I have ever encountered. Very down to earth. There were so many great musicians of our tribe there, (harpists, I mean), that for Dave to stick out like that was quite a feat.
