Subject: Meisterklasse Chro

Hi Group,

I have to echo BBB regarding the Meisterklasse chromatic. I just bought one
early January and I couldn't be more pleased!

This is the very first chro that sounded great, right out of the box. The
ease with which it plays is incredible. In comparison, my MT, LA, and SC
270s feel like I'm trying to blow down bricks.

The mouthpiece has a better shape to it that feels more natural under a
tongue block. The rounded square holes are soooo smooth that my tongue can
glide over them (nothing like their other 270 styles). The slide movement is
very smooth---so easy that it just didn't feel like a Hohner!

As well, it plays incredibly loud and crisp (the aluminum comb, I suppose),
which has easily expanded my dynamic ranges. None of the characteristic chro
air leaks are present. (This is the first harp I won't have to use beeswax
on!) When the time comes for a good cleaning, be aware that the reed plates
are connected to the comb with screws.

Also of note is that having 14 holes rather than 12 is great. Now I have
access to the dominant and leading tone without having to hold a 64 (which I
find is too unwieldy for me).

I think the Meisterklasse is a great buy at $275!

Best Wishes,

Debbie H.
