Save your money. IMHO you're better off getting a used Vibrolux or
Deluxe than the reissues. I have a SF Deluxe that has been reverted to
blackface specs I have A/B'd it to my friends reissue Deluxe Reverb, and
the reissue doesn't even come close, and I paid $350 for mine. Same
thing with the Vibrolux, I've compared my 65 with the reissue, again not
even close. Actually the reissue Vibrolux was a real disapointment IMO,
and I won't even tell you what I paid for my 65, but it was a real
bargain. It's quite possible to find a silverface Vibrolux, in good
condition for $500. Also, the new reissues are gonna depreciate in
value as soon as you walk it out the door. You get a good deal on a
used BF or SF Fender and take care of it, you'll likely sell it for more
than you paid for it in a few years. Though not likely to find a real
59 Bassman for $800, for that kinda money, it's possible to find a used
Victoria Bassman reproduction. The Vicky's are much closer to a real
Bassman than the Fender reissue. Have fun shopping.
