My band played in the Iowa Blues Challenge, a battle of the blues bands, last night. A musician in the also-ran group who played harp on two songs and guitar had a Sonny Jr amplifier, AND an original '59 Fender Bassman, AND an original brown tolex Fender Reverb unit on stage. He doesn't like the sound of the Bassman for harp. He packed out into a Cadillac.
