Subject: Are they the same thing?

Ok, gotta a newbie question here for ya. Is Big Walter's "Back Home To
Mama" the same song as Sonny Boy's "Bring It On Home"? I have the BWH
song on a blues compliation CD and during some surfing, yes at work
shhhh!, I found the www.island.net/~blues web page. And on that page
had about a 20 second .wav file of "Bring It On Home", which sounded
very familiar to me. And sure enough, playing the beginnings together,
they sounded almost identical. Is or was this a common thing in the
biz? Now days it seems everyone is sueing everyone for song rights etc.
Another one I found off the same page was John Lee Williamson's "Good
Morning, School Girl" is covered by Jonny Lang on his "Lie To Me"
CD,though in a quite differnt form. I know some of this stuff may seem
basic, but I'm actually finding it encouraging listening to enough blues
to identify some of these similarities and things. Ok, that's all for
now, back to work. :o(

Thanks
Jared Matio
