Subject: 260 Chromonica

I bought a used 260 Chromonica for $20 this week (good deal??- too late
now!). I have a few questions:

- - I'd like to clean it, will I ruin the comb or the valves? Use water,
denatured alcohol, or polident?
- - Is the comb plastic?
- - If I remove the slide screws will things fly out every which-way?
- - The coverplates are badly bent, are replacements available?
- - Is this a good chromatic for a diatonic player to start on?
