* Call-for SUBMISSIONS *

As some of you might know, I own and operate a small publishing
house up here in Montreal. This last year, I decided that I would
like to extend the parametres of the thing and begin a recording
section to the whole venture. The first CD I am planning on
producing and recording will be one that is entirely harmonica-based;
in fact, it would be composed as a compilation of solo-harp tracks from
between 10 to 20 different individuals (depending on the quality and
quantity and diversity of materials gathered). I will set-out below the
parametres of the compilation project and would ask, heartily, that,
any of you all out there that might be interested please DO CONTACT
ME about this whole matter. I plan to get the entire thing together by
next summer-time complete the production. The specs follow, no
derivations from them are possable or at all desired:

The individual tracks will all be

1 original material
2 played solely on harmonica(s)
yes duets (only) are ALSO acceptable
3 played solely on harmonic-minor tuned harmonicas
4 all styles, approaches and as many diverse forms and ethnicities
represented would be most desired; by ethnicities I refer more
to the music itself than to the individuals playing that music

- -----------

If there are any questions, please DO NOT HESITATE in
contacting me about this project. I would like to add that as this
is a small publishing/recording house I cannot afford to pay any
advance stipends or anything of that nature but will clearly and
fastidiously administer the copyrights and all legal-protection of
both the recordings themselves AND the compositions. Whatever
money made from the sale of these CDs will be EQUALLY divided
between ALL MUSICIANS represented on the thing. I will,
therefore, need to be kept up-to-date on the locations and/or contact
numbers or addresses of the musicians so that I can get-out to them
whatever moneys might come-on in this way.

- -----------

If you have A soundsample of your playing musics on harmonicas
tuned in the abovementioned manner, please feel free to send me
a copy of one so long as they are less than 400k in size and are readable
as either .AIFF or .WAV documents. Please send the soundsamples
to the following address only, NOT TO THIS email address they cannot
be received in any reasonably-large size & downloaded from here.

The address to email the soundsamples to is:

gclaopho~ntranet.ca

Respectfully,

yours,

Richard Weintrager.
