I bend in my throat, but the embouchure still matters. This is because the
air pressure increases as I go for a TB bend, I get significant leakage on my
non-tongue side at the corner of my mouth, and it doesn't go down as far or as
easily. So even though my throat bending is very similar to pursing, because
of a poor TB purchase on the harp (I suppose) the lip pursing is far better
for bends. But I love octaves and the percussive tb affects, so I want to
learn.
