Subject: Billy Bizor

Thanks to Ken Ficara and Blues-L, for the last few days I have been in
contact with Phillip H. Bizor, son of the great blues harmonica player
Billy Bizor.

Mr. Bizor is attempting to obtain some of the recordings his father made
back in the '60s. Although the Lightnin' Hopkins sessions which included
Billy Bizor have all been reissued on CD (by Fantasy,) there is still much
of Billy's recorded output that remains difficult to obtain.

Mr. Bizor was unaware of the recordings his father had done for Arhoolie
and Avco-Embassy (which were never issued at the time on LP but which may
have subsequently been released on CD?) Additionally he is looking for
the two cuts Billy did on International Artists LP 6, as well as the Billy
Bizor LP and/or CD on Collectibles.

Questions:
(1) Does anyone know whether the Arhoolie and/or Avco-Embassy material by
Billy Bizor has ever be issued in any format?

(2) Has the LP on Collectibles been issued on CD?

(3) Has International Artists LP 6 been issued on CD?

(4) Does anyone know where any of these might be purchased, or does anyone
have extra LP or CD copies of any of these that they might care to either
sell or give to Billy's son?

Any responses can be directed to me off-list....and I will happily pass
along any comments (or remembrances of Billy) to Phillip H. Bizor.
