fjm drags me into this with: "Mic'l Will on the other hand hasn't been playing all that long and by my guess he'll surpass my carry around collection somewhere by the end of this millenium."
Wait! I'm still far behind... My main bag (18"long, 7"wide, 6"high) has: - - Ibanez digital delay pedal - - Astatic JT30 and cord - - Hering 16-hole chromatic - - Hering 12-hole chrom - - Tenor C CX-12 - - Slide harp with The Quill tuning - - 365 in C - - A kit with tools, screws, glue, valves, yada yada - - Chromatic tuner - - Micro-cassette recorder - - Thorsten Nickel's Harp-Schablone (position/layout slider) - - Notebook and pen - - Removable tray of diatonics with - Low D to High G keys (no low Eb) (ends are Big Rivers) - 5 Pre-MS and 1 MS Meisterklasse - 4 ProMasters, 1 valved (A) - 1 Bahnsen GM Overblow harp (C) - 1 Discrete comb (Cross reeds/plates) (A) - 1 Piccolo (C) - 6 Lee Oskars - 1 Marine Band (a new one, in A) - 1 Natural Minor (2nd Em) - 1 Dorian Minor (plates from G and Dm(N)) - 1 xx Minor using the other plates from the Dorian Minor - 1 Tempting Tuning (Eb) - 1 Huang Silvertone Deluxe home-tuned to Melody Maker (A) AND - - A rhythm egg
I organize my diatonics according to the circle-of-5ths, with the special tunings off to one side. (I can reach in while driving and pull the harp I want without looking...)
My favorite? The handmade Meisterklasse. In Ab.
There's room for 2 more diatonics
and a Rennie...
