Subject: Re: Big River Upgrade vs. Cross Harp Purchase?

I thought it was going to be the deal of all deals: use my Big River plates
with the MS series reed plates...

After putting all the goodies together - I tried 'em out and LOVED the tone:
deep, rich, resonsant.

And within a week - two of the harps had fatigued reeds that seem beyond the
brink of bringing back. The other one is still around (I actually played it
today) but I dropped that idea as being my new standard.

After being a diehard Hohner devotee, I tried, and am now in the process of
making Lee Oskar my working set of harps.

Overall, it was pretty bummed about the MS plates...
