Subject: A bit of help, please?

I don't even approach pro harp status, but I have decided that
I truly need to buckle down and learn a lot more about everything to do
with harp playing. It is a passion to learn to play the harp as well as I
can.

I'm a writer, whose schedule is crazy ... from about 3-4 a.m. to
10 a.m. I live alone, so I have time for some study. I'm a greybeard
with no disabling habits, i.e. I can still concentrate. I would love
to reach a level where I could play a chromatic slide and a super-big
bass concert model. My knowledge of composition and music is sketchy.

Is there a homecourse, CD or whatever that would pick me up from
far down the ladder and teach me whatever is possible? I don't have
any pretensions of becoming a pro harp man, but would like to be able
to play with fairly capable musicians of all types.

If you think I am asking too much to want to do this, then tell me
that too.

I would appreciate any help or advice given me.

Thanks to all.
