Some time ago someone mentioned a handy tool for tuning reeds. In the US it was an X-Acto Finishing Detailer, someone posted the brand name or number for the English market. For those living in Australia, you can get them from hobby shops under the brand name Maxx. They are known as Maxx Sanding Sticks and retail for $10. I got one on the weekend but haven't tried it yet. As they are comprised of a wedge shaped piece of plastic and a bit of wet and dry wrapped around I don't think they need an extensive road test report.
