Subject: Australian harp history/humour?

On some 1930s sheet music there is an add for "Boomerang" Harmonicas
that says, "It is not a toy, but a real musical instrument."

Yet the same company offers an instructional book called, "How to play
tricks and effects on the mouth organ - also blues and other
novelties."

I had to laugh at the accidental insult to both harmonica AND blues!
I bet a lot of blues harp players can relate to that attitude!

The add was on the back of some sheet music by J. Albert & Son of Sydney
Australia printed in 1935.

I am trying to track down a copy of the advertised booklet but
I'm not having much luck... but then it was offered for sale
over 60 years ago, and the company shut down decades ago.

The add also includes a picture of the "Boomerang Delux" harmonica
that is on cover of Charlie Musselwhite's "Ace of Harps" album.
I didn't know that was a real harp or that it was Australian!
