Subject: A Mic for my chromatic

I'm having a problem micing my Chromatic. most of the time I play
diatonics with a Green Bullet and Fender Champ. No problem being heard.
But we are playng a Paul DeLay song, "Why Can't You Love Me", and I use a
Hering 601/64. I can't hold the bullet and the Hering and reach the button
at the same time. So I have been using a Shaker with a volume control.
The VC is all the way up, the Champ is at 9 or 10, and the volume is
passable but not quite where I want it. Any suggestions for a mic that
would be easier to hold and allow the right hand to reach for the button?
I have already thought of hiring a valet to stand next to me and press the
button when needed.
