It pleases me greatly to think that music for me is... music ... whether I
play for someone else or myself. I would hate to live within myself
unable to think my art because it doesn't become complete until someone
else is hearing it

I don't have to be involved in showmanship, I can just be involved in the
very pleasurable activity of creation of what ~I~ think of as music. part
of it may be in my head ... part from my instrument ... sometimes both.

I am so glad, on the other hand, that no one knows about the person I
killed...... I can have a totally easy conscience, because, until someone
finds out ... it isn't murder.
