Subject: Art requires audience

Listers:

Have to agree with BBB here. It seems to me axiomatic that
art is communication requiring an audience. When I play at home or
elsewhere for myself I make music but I don't believe I'm acting as
an artist. Of course I have often had the experience of playing to
others and no one's listening - or no one's there (except the bar
tender - who is not listening). Is this art?
