Subject: All that art - from Michael

Hi All,

Well, we are hearing a little griping from the "peanut gallery"
(back rows of the audience) about the old art thread. Some of
this is probably because they can "sniff" the growth of a never
ending heated thread ;-). This debate hs been both informative
and pretty well mannered so far, but it is taking up a bit of
space, so I think we should let it rest for a while. I doubt we
can avoid this subject, but we can keept the traffic about it
minimized until we have digested all the ideas so far ;-).

I actually like this thread a lot, but we should always be aware
of the advantage of time, patience, thought and, of course,
efficient traffic! Especially when it deals with an issue as
individual and personal as the definition of art. A measured
rather than passionate response is usually a product of time. It
will also likely elicit a measured rather than passionate
response. I think if we slow it down a bit we can keep the
debate relatively civil and not have it dominate or traffic for
the next month. Thanks all and carry on,

Michael Polesky
