Subject: Art Daane's Progress

Last night I phoned Jacqui Daane in Holland to find out how Art is
progressing. Much to the doctor's surprise and to his family's great
relief it looks like Art is going to make it through his rather
horrendous ordeal. He left intensive care a few days ago, has had his
various drips and tubes removed, and is starting to walk again. Jacqui
says that Art is very chirpy and in good spirits but, thankfully, can't
remember much about recent events. He has received a large number of
cards and get-well messages for which he is very appreciative.
Let's hope that Art can fulfil his plan of attending a SPAH convention
in the future.
