I use dry graphite on my 260/270 slide assemblies. I simply sprinkle a
bit of graphite dust between my index finger and thumb, and rub it into
the slide so that the residue is virtually imperceptible. After the
necessary (and previously mentioned in this thread) preparations to the
slide components, this really seems to loosen things up, although some
'refreshing' is occasionally necessary. Is this a no-no? If so, why?
